Search Engine Optimization for Bloggers

Tips to optimize the ranking of your blog (s) with Google, Yahoo and Bing. Blogs are by nature destined for a good ranking in search engines because they are frequently updated, specific subjects, interlinking structure and the ability to receive links to others in the blogosphere.

The following 7 key SEO tips for bloggers:

1. "Content is King"
The quality of the article you write is the key to a good position to get into the search engines. I can confirm from personal experience. If I have a fresh Con time of writing, I notice it immediately. A good article is rapidly shared with other bloggers.

2. Titles - Google is committed to "titles"
It is very important to a good title. This helps determine your ranking. The name of your blog in general use in a title, unless the intent is brand awareness ("Branding" for example).
Mention the keywords in the title of your blog post. Keep in mind that the words you see in the beginning of the title outweigh the end.

3. Keywords in your blog post (article)
Use your main keywords in the text of your article. If you want to score for a concept or a sense that you should also use term or phrase in your article. Use of subheadings, but also in alt tags for images etc. over do not!

4. Anticipate that which the people search
Every time you write a blog post, you should keep in mind what words people are likely entering the desired information.

5. Internal links
Links from other sites to your blog are of course important, but do not forget to use internal links. Links to sites with more specific information (if relevant) can be found. As references in the article itself. Do not be fooled by too much time to devote to searching for links, but pay the most attention to the content and quality of your blog posts. Eventually brings it more.

6. Links from other people to your blog
Links from outside to your blog or website with superior search engine optimization. These links are often difficult to obtain. Start with link to your blog from other blogs or websites where you have influence or ownership. Some links, such as Twitter (these are called n-follow tags) do not help your Google ranking, but also contribute as an opportunity for visitors to your blog to direct.

7. Snowball effect
The more readers you have the more likely you are found by other readers. Your momentum is growing as readers information to others in their network. They link, they will send a tweet about you, they bookmark, they send an email to friends, they blog about you and recommend your blog to them in special review - and "recommendation" sites.

Finally
The influence of Google is very large and should not be underestimated. They own Feedburner (how many people "subscribe" to your blog and know what words people click) and Google Reader (also lots of info), Gmail, Google Analytics, YouTube, etc.
