To your website in top search engines like Google to get a webmaster without much knowledge or the big money for advertising like Google Adwords website should have many backlinks. Time for an explanation and clarification.

Backlinks are other sites that link to your website. The more established websites with high quality and high page rank give more power to the linked site to help its search engine position. If the website backlinks get high quality and high Page Rank is the probability that this site a high ranking in search engines get much bigger. The more backlinks you have and the better the quality, the better chance your website score in search engines like Google.
What are "good" backlinks?
The quality of the backlink and therefore the power to your website to help drive up the results of the search engines depends on several things. Below I will mention a few:
